Dear patrons,
It is with an aching heart that I am announcing that I have decided to close Pamper & Play as of March 1, 2024.
This has been a difficult decision. P&P has been a part of our family for over 12 years. My children, Adam and Nicholas who were 2 and 5 when we started are entering their freshman and senior years in high school this upcoming September.
As they say, the days are long but the years are fleeting. You truly do hold your child's hand for a short time. It is important for me to be at home to nurture my boys for the last few years before they are off to college.
When I started Pamper & Play, I was a freelancing mom with no family in the area to help out. I wanted to create a support system for other parents like me and in the process I got what I think I was really craving: a community, love and friendship.
I am so grateful to all the parents who allowed us to support them on those days when they just felt like they couldn't go on (if you've had a toddler you know what I mean!) to the children who came in, played their hearts out and explored every inch of Pamper & Play; and to the families who allowed us to share their very important special events like milestone birthdays.
I have learned so much about business in these 12 years. I appreciate every small business that keeps the doors open and the lights on for those times when you really need them. I am also so thankful for the staff and volunteers who have helped me along the way, especially in those times when I didn't think I could make it another day.
And a special thanks to our amazing neighbors LaDuree and Mathnasium and to our landlord who let us do our thing...no matter how loud or messy!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, West LA (and beyond!) I will miss you more than words can express.
Love,
Carole
